PART 2
Did you rebel against your dad and his generation like all teenagers before you became the person you are now?
Not really, my parents were always pretty cool about most things. I think that questioning authority is a good thing if you feel you’re hard done by, but I always had it pretty good.
Are you in a band? (what are they called? Do you gig?)
No, but I would love to be. My brother’s an awesome drummer and a very tasteful chap when it comes to music, and I would love to do some stuff with him. He’s still in his teens at the moment, and his mum wants him at the schoolbooks, but he’ll be free soon enough.
Do you have a website?
No, only a myspace page specifically for this song. Might sort one out soon though. In the meantime it’s www.myspace.com/felixandarty
Was the single recorded in your dad’s studio?
Yes, that’s where he does all his stuff at the moment.
Is the single 'Woman You’re So Beautiful’ also going to be released on CD or other formats?
We’re trying to get some radio play at the moment. It’s on as a download, on myspace and QOL. It’ll be out on itunes later this month (bit of delay there), and if we get enough downloads, that will justify a CD pressing.
Who is the song 'Woman You’re So Beautiful’ about?
You’ll have to ask my dad about that one. They’re all beautiful aren’t they?
I thought that Arty wasn’t particularly fond of the reggae genre, or has that been misreported?
I have converted him after many stubborn years.
At any stage, was this track considered for the Queen + Paul Rodgers project?
Oh no, this was done after the last tour. I think my dad came up with the idea whilst touring in Japan.
Have you ever been involved in any of Arty’s recording sessions before; either as participant or observer?
I’ve watched a few in my time, it’s always interesting. Never participated until now, wouldn’t presume to unless asked.
